The Department of
Nursing at Boise State University is pleased to announce a $730,800
three-year award from the Health Resources and Services Administration
(HRSA) to develop and implement a statewide cultural competency
continuing education program for registered nurses.
The purpose of the GAIN project is to:
a) Increase the number of nurses in frontier, rural and urban Idaho
who are culturally competent practitioners.
b) Build a core body of nursing faculty, who incorporate cultural
competencies within the schools nursing curricula.
Boise State University has partnered with all Idaho nursing programs
to develop and provide this course. For more grant
