2008 Honored Alumni
In addition to receiving her Associate of Science in Nursing from Boise State, Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies and has completed continuing education courses in obstetrics, adult education, substance abuse, bioterrorism preparedness, and other prevention education topics. Jane has been working for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare for over 20 years and making significant contributions to the Idaho community.

Jane. S. Smith was recognized by the College of Health Sciences and Department of Nursing at Boise State University as the 2008 Honored Alumni. As the Division of Health Administrator at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Jane is responsible for the operations of the bureaus of clinical and Preventive Services, Community and Environmental Health, Health Planning and Resources, Vital Records and Health Statistics, Laboratories, Emergency Medical Services and the Office of Epidemiology and Food Protection.
We are proud to present Jane S. Smith with the 2008 Honored Alumni award. Jane has also been honored by the Golden Key National Honor Society and the Honor society of Phi Kappa Phi.
