New Simulation Center - Opening Fall 2009
The Simulation Center, residing in the Department of Nursing at Boise State University, will be opening for the Fall 2009 semester.
Our state of the art facility will include an interactive 6-bed suite with 3 debriefing rooms that simulates a variety of clinical settings.
Students will participate in designed learning activities, independent assessment and interventions within the framework of the nursing process.
“The concept of using simulation for real life clinical scenarios has become one of the latest innovative teaching methods
utilized by nursing programs. Our nursing program began using Vital-Sim® manikins in a patient care skills course. The faculty chose to use this
technology to enhance student learning and allow nursing students the
opportunity to practice their skills in a safe environment.”
