The Department of Nursing at Boise State University invites you to join our innovative faculty for a rewarding career in nursing education. We are accepting applications for full-time, tenure track positions in an NLNAC accredited program of nursing. Appointment will be made at either the Assistant/Associate/Full Professorial rank depending on qualifications.

It is anticipated that this faculty position will participate in both our Graduate and Undergraduate programs. Candidate should be able to demonstrate effective teaching skills, participate in curriculum development, academic pursuits and scholarly actives. The ideal candidate should have an established program of scholarship and research.  For more information, click here.

  • Master's degree in nursing

The preferred candidate will have:

  • PhD
  • Teaching and clinical experience within the last five years

Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Student Positions

Student Technology Support

Boise State University Department of Nursing is looking for a student to provide technical support to faculty and staff of the Department.  The position requires the student to have a good understanding of different technologies and the ability to teach faculty and staff how to use those technologies.  The individual must be patient, comfortable with day to day faculty support and able to manage their time well.  The student will deal with projects related to educational technology and assisting faculty with technology needs. It is important that the student can clearly explain the technology and use of technology to the end user.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current student at Boise State University
  • The successful candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing the needs of multiple constituencies, and have excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of faculty and staff members.
  • Required technical skills include:
    • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS 2007 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Internet
    • Knowledge of audio/video equipment and software for recording, duplication, mixing and editing.
    • Knowledge of Clickers and their integration with Blackboard
    • WIKIs
    • Blackboard

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Web development using Microsoft FrontPage 2003
    • Database development
    • Adobe Presenter and Adobe Connect

This is a part-time, 12-month position, with variable hours up to 19 hours per week at $10 per hour.
