How do I apply for Membership?
Students need to talk with their nursing instructors about the procedure for being inducted into the Mu Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.
Nurse Leaders, complete the Membership Intent Form (found at the above website) containing the criteria under which you qualify (undergraduate student, graduate student, or nurse leader) and return to:

You will also need to have two letters of endorsement (also found at the above website) submitted in order to be condsidered by the Chapter Eligibility Committee. Nursing students should include a letter of support from a nursing faculty member. At least one of the two endorsements is to be from an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International. These two letters also need to be returned to Joan.
Induction will be in Spring 2005.
Annual Membership Dues
Effective in 2005; the annual dues for Mu Gamma will be increased from $15.00/year to $25.00/year. Also, Sigma Theta Tau has increased their annual dues by $10.00. This will mean an increase from $60.00/year to $80.00/year for both local chapter dues and international dues.
Mu Gamma Questionnaire
We know that most individuals are busy with their careers and lives, but we would like to find out what types of projects you would be interested in helping Mu Gamma with. In the revised bylaws, Sigma Theta Tau had set up Task Forces.
Mission - Task Forces are formed to complete an assigned task within a specified time frame.
Membership - Task Forces are formed by the Board, Standing Committees, and Board Advisory Councils. They are mad up of members to bring expertise, interest, and commitment to complete an assigned task.
To this end, we have created a questionnaire to find out what types of projects you would be interested in serving on a task force to complete.
